What families are saying

Overall, Parkway Gardens receives predominantly positive reviews for its clean, comfortable, and home-like atmosphere. Families value the small community, attractive private rooms, welcoming staff, open dining, activities, housekeeping, laundry, outdoor spaces, and 24-hour support. Many say staff treat residents like family, encourage participation, accommodate dietary and personal needs, and provide peace of mind. Loved ones often enjoy meals, though food opinions vary: some praise the cooking and generous choices, while others report repetitive, premade items, small portions, or meals not served hot. Activities are generally appreciated, especially when led by strong activity directors, although turnover or COVID-related disruptions reduced programming at times. Several reviews mention staffing turnover, inconsistent follow-through, and variable responsiveness. Some families experienced delayed call-light responses, recurring call-light problems, irregular room cleaning, and insufficient reminders for grooming or personal care. A few reviewers felt staff were unwelcoming or unenthusiastic. Food and portion sizes were recurring criticisms, and one highly negative review alleged inadequate special diets, questionable activity practices, and safety concerns. Conversely, many prospective families praised tours, knowledgeable directors, attractive layouts, accessibility, pet-friendly policies, visual meal options, and the ability to transition from assisted living to Arbors memory care as needs change. Cost was the drawback, with several describing it as expensive or beyond budget. Overall, it is a strong choice when needs are met.

Words can't describe how wonderful we feel as a family that Mom's been with Victorian Manor some three years now. We are truly blessed by the super attentive staff, both administrative and caregivers alike! It is so apparent that they are there not because it's a job, but because they really care about the quality of life for our seniors. Truly heaven sent...thank you and blessings...one and all!!!!
