"My parents have been at Arbor Terrace for more than 3 years now. They wanted a place where they could age in place together and since the community offers a variety of different care types it fit perfectly. Both my parents are very independent now ad are in a villa. The Hamilton mill neighborhod is very active, a lot of shopping and restaurants nearby and a huge bonus for my Dad was the golf club nearby that he visits on a weekly basis. "Heartis is a beautiful facility but the management is terrible. We paid a large deposit for my mother-in-law to move into their assisted living, only to find out almost two weeks later that they would not take her due to a recent shortage in caregiver staff in assisted living and concerns that they could not take on another high level of care patient. We were annoyed that it took so long for a decision and that the communication was terrible. The lady I spoke with had only worked there a week. In the end I am glad we did not move my mother-in-law there due to the incompetence that we have experienced. "Magnolia is not a place I would not want to put my loved one. The management is the worst I have ever seen, uncommunicative ,unprofessional and honorably and book keeping. Staff, when you can find them was Ok. The rooms are Ok but too far from the staff station. Again staff was never around. When my loved one passed, part of the contract we signed, which by way ended up having various errors. But the contract stated that would receive the unused funds for the month that my loved one was not in the facility. My loved one was of little means and we needed those funds to bury our loved one. I would not recommend Magnolia. We have had experience with 4 other care facilities and Magnolia was the worst by far. The only reason we had to place our loved one in Magnolia was because we were between a rock and a hard place for was asked to move our loved one because was mostly bed bound. "I write on behalf of all of our family. My former wife was at Angels Care for a year and a half following a fall which left her totally dependent on others. Unfortunately, her condition worsened. Marianna and her staff knew when it was time to consult and engage Hospice Care. Our family agreed it was for Barbara's best interest to engage Hospice Care. After approximately three months of care, her health continued to decline. Bristol Hospice with the collaboration of Marianne's staff, extended special care, including each family member. When the final breath was drawn, we knew that we had made the correct decision. Marianna stayed up with her all night as well as another care giver. We were notified at 1:00 A.M. that our family member had passed away. We were comforted knowing that she was not left alone at any time given during her last hours. "When visiting the facility, I was told by a gentleman in the parking lot who said his mom lives there that the food was one of the best things about the place -- and that's one of the main reasons I chose it. Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth. The food is absolutely terrible. I wouldn't serve some of it to anyone. The kitchen can't keep a cook, and there is constant turnover. The meals look and taste like something thrown together with no care at all. I wish that I could post pictures so you can see for yourself what they are calling "lasagna" on the menu. It looks like it is missing marinara sauce and was filled with something that could pass for cat pate. You can't even tell that it is what it is. My mom sends me photos of her meals all the time, and it's heartbreaking. I've resorted to taking her grocery shopping so she can have something decent to eat. "If I could give this facility less than one star, I would. Whatever you do, do not bring your loved one to this location. When my mother became a resident, she was in a shared room and we paid $3,750 per month. At her annual renewal in May 2026, Varsha and Kimoya were unable to find another resident to share the room, they changed her to a single-occupancy rate and increased the monthly cost to $6,195. I do not understand why it became our responsibility to absorb such a significant increase simply because the facility could not find a roommate. In my opinion, Prema has gone downhill since Kimoya H. became Executive Director after taking over from Terese A. in July 2025. Throughout our experience, I found Kimoya to be rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and dismissive of family concerns.
