"Review of Broadway Creek Assisted Living I had mixed experiences with Broadway Creek Assisted Living when it came to the care of my mom. Her first stay was adequate, but her second stay fell short of expectations. On the positive side, Broadway Creek offers a variety of activities that could be engaging for residents, and there are some truly wonderful staff members who go above and beyond in their roles. However, it's evident that a significant portion of the work is carried by just 20% of the staff, which can affect the overall quality of care. Unfortunately, there were several issues that impacted our experience. We frequently noticed that call lights were not answered in a timely manner, often taking more than 30 minutes. Additionally, the cleanliness of her room was inconsistent and did not meet our standards. "Carpets were cleaned throughout bldg., however the stains are back & actually it looks worse than before, personally I think it was $$$ down the drain. Still having a huge problem with staffing as the meals are mostly Buffet & by that I mean, just what's listed on the menu for that meal, so if you don't care for it or if have dietary restrictions your out of luck! We were told approximately 7 wks. ago at least 4 or more severs were hired BUT where are they??? Have seen 1, yes, I know they have to meet certain requirements however this is beyond ridiculous & most residents are fed up with this! Still haven't received a perk I was told I'd get as a new resident over 6 mos. ago, so not holding my breath on that. "I just wanted to do a review on Vista Springs – Parma as to why NOT to put a loved one here: -Very dirty – filthy place – they do not clean the residents or their rooms - sticky kitchen & bathroom floor, don’t throw garbage out. They leave food in the refrigerator for days – months. -Very high turn over with staff – one day they are there working the next they are not there -They don’t take care of their residents – residents can call or buzz for help- they do not come in right away – takes them a long time to check on them to make sure everything is ok – or to even change them -It is in your lease that you can have a car parked there – well all of a sudden they were giving us a hard time – they said if it was not moved – they will have it towed -Staff was nice in the beginning – because they wanted your money – not so much your loved one -Food is terrible – very salty - if you cannot go downstairs to eat – they bring food up to your room – and put it on your little kitchen table – if you cannot get up out of bed – then how are you able to go in your kitchen to eat – then they were going to charge $300.00 a month to bring food to the rooms – then said – oh well – we are not doing that now -For how much they charge – you would think that the rooms would be cleaned and they would help their residents – they just want the money I can keep gong on and on – but in the end – if you love your loved one – this is NOT the place." - Sandy… Read more

Before moving my in-laws to Vitalia they were at another assisted living in the area which did not compare to the care they have received at Vitalia Strongsville. The employees make it a point to make meaningful connections with the residents and you do not find that everywhere. My father in law was in memory care before he passed and he received great care. The nursing staff was great and always kept us in the loop. When his condition worsened they had their hospice team, Cypress right there to assist our family with end of life care. Vitalia plans fun, family friendly events through out the year for residents and their families. From trick or treating to Easter egg hunts and a Christmas tree lighting with a wonderful dinner and a market with local small businesses so residents can shop without leaving home. "This is not the place to send a loved one. Consistently understaffed, you can be guaranteed long waits for call button response. Communication is abysmal. Food is beyond horrid and nearly always cold with no attention to the needs or preference of the patient. Transport is inconsistent and attention to detail is sorely lacking. Rooms are old with broken equipment that you will be lucky to get fixed and aside from a few individuals the majority of staff were unconcerned and creatively hard to find. "I do not recommend this facility to anyone EVER! I just removed my husband from Greenfield because the care and conditions were so poor. We were there from January 2023 until September and it was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. First of all for months the phones haven’t work so you can’t call to check on your loved one. The facility is run by undisciplined aides that do whatever they want when they want to. My husband was dirty sleeping in the same clothes he wore day after day. The facility is very dark and drab with no natural light coming in. The courtyard is not kept up in appearances with a fountain in the middle that does not work. The activities directors have been fired 3 times since January so there are basically no activities to encourage daily living.
