Lip service to family concerns but no change in methods to address problems. Systemic failures from top Executive Director, to nursing to caregivers. "Although we only recently made the move, so far Brightview Fair Oaks has been extremely positive experience. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they have been extremely helpful to me and my family. I live in a different state, and they made process of touring and moving in pretty manageable from a distance. Because they are so close to D.C., they have a good social activities calendar - things like a tour of the Library of Congress, etc. Of course that's not every day, but my mom usually has at least one activity each day that she's excited about, which takes a bit of pressure off of me. The review disclaimer doesn't allow "allegations of negligence", which probably means that my review won't be posted, though I've been careful to not use those terms in my review. From the time my parent started living in memory care at WW, there has been an ongoing list of issues, particularly with inattentive staff, patient cleanliness and personal hygiene, minimal patient interaction, poor communication between staff and family members. For the price being paid ($13,000+monthly), a much higher level of service is to be expected, and WW has fallen far short of the mark. If you are looking for a high level of service and care for your family member, I urge you to not consider WW. My dog gets better care and treatment at the vet/kennel. "Moving to Woodleigh Chase was the best decision I ever made. The community truly embodies the idea of "living comfortably and happily". The staff is amazing, from day one the Sales team was phenomenal, and now the community staff handle everything in a timely manner. My greatest recommendation to anyone looking is know this, nowhere is perfect, nobody is perfect, but at Woodleigh Chase they truly commit helping solve problems and they dont quit until they do.
