They have a hard time convincing the memory care patients to quit packing their bags thinking they are going home. "Although we only recently made the move, so far Brightview Fair Oaks has been extremely positive experience. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they have been extremely helpful to me and my family. I live in a different state, and they made process of touring and moving in pretty manageable from a distance. Because they are so close to D.C., they have a good social activities calendar - things like a tour of the Library of Congress, etc. Of course that's not every day, but my mom usually has at least one activity each day that she's excited about, which takes a bit of pressure off of me. "My father is a reminiscent resident on the 3rd floor at Sunrise McLean since June 2021 as part of their 6-week Road to Home Program to recover from surgery, He was weak & frail but, the staff brought him back to being healthy & vibrant again. His dementia was progressing and knowing that I could no longer give my father the kind of care he needed, I made the difficult decision to extend his stay. I could not be happier with that decision. The staff on the 3rd floor – from the management team to care managers, to PT, to the front desk, & finally, the facilities staff – are the best.
