They are all pet friendly, include cable and other utilities, and have handicapped accessible bathrooms and weekly housekeeping. The beautifully landscaped grounds at Morningstar Dayton Place are perfect for strolling. There is also a fitness room, library, chapel, beauty salon, massage room, private dining room, and even a general store. There are care managers on duty 24-hours, as well as a full-time nurse. Meals are chef-prepared and served in a restaurant-like dining room. For between meal snacks, there is a bistro on site. "The memory care here is horrible. Alzheimer’s requires constant attention and they only have 2 people on duty during the evening and about 5 during the day. We had to hire our own private caregivers to make sure my mom had acceptable care. The food was barely edible, these people can’t cut things, or feed themselves most times. It looked like the leftovers from assisted living or independent living. These poor people can’t complain! The only exception we experienced were the nurses who were always willing to help, but the woman in charge is clueless and invisible. "My 88-year-old father lived at Peakview for about one year. Prior to his move, we had toured about 5 other assisted living facilities and thought Peakview would be a good choice. From the beginning, we experienced issues where services and ADL care tasks were not being performed by Peakview staff. The tasks detailed in his care plan such as laundry, changing of bed linens, shower assistance, and grooming were simply not being completed. As family members, we were constantly following up to why these services were not being done. Every time we visited my father, we wondered what issue we would have to deal with. When we contacted Peakview management regarding these issues, we were always politely told that they would be addressed. Unfortunately, nothing ever changed. We also experienced issues with Peakview’s medical management process and medication chain-of-custody.
