"I live on the independent side. This building is very poorly maintained has no ADA access, in fact it has ADA nothing, zero zilch. Food is just barely adequate. Laundry facilities aren't really free. Machines are always breaking from over use and stupid use. Place is crawling with a vermin. Zero landscaping and if I didn't water the grass it wouldn't be green" - Laurie… Read more

"I have been incredibly impressed by the staff and care my family has received at Oakmont of El Dorado Hills. My father went from not being very mobile to doing laps around the building, thanks to their physical and occupational therapy. The nurses and aid’s are all very friendly, attentive and compassionate. My mother recently moved from Oakmont of Folsom to this location, and I can certainly understand why - both locations offer exceptional care. I highly recommend Oakmont of El Dorado Hills and would not hesitate to encourage my parents or loved ones to move there."… Read more

"We did a tour back in the summer, mom was not quite ready yet. We loved the grounds and the fun pet show they were having that day. The community itself is really nice, they have kept the community looking so nice and fresh. I really liked the size of the apartments and that they all had full kitchens in them - mom still does some baking and we want to bring her favorite meals to her. We plan on moving mom into the community this Spring, she is out of the country right now with family and has told us she is ready and River's Edge will be her new home. She is anxious to meet new people and not have to cook anymore." - Rose… Read more

"Don't bring your loved one here if they have Dementia!!! Our poor mother was here during COVID, the facility was under lockdown. This is why we didn't notice the neglect that our poor mother endured. She kept scratching and we mentioned this numerous times. We finally took her to the doctor only to discover she had scabies. They were trying to hide this from us. Her things were always missing. They would bring her out with someone else's clothes and shoes, along with the wrong glasses. We moved her to the Waterleaf at Land Park where the service was exceptional. They had cameras everywhere. There was no way a patient could walk out. I saw a patient walk right out of Fair Oaks Estates, the staff chase them down. On the day we removed our mom from Fair Oaks, they brought out her recliner with dried feces all over the seat. They knew we were coming and didn't even bother to clean her chair. I shudder to think of what else happened to her. I could go on and on, I think you get the picture." - Kelli… Read more
