"Prices randomly go up. No transparency as to how prices are calculated. Recently changed medication management fee, no 30day notice or how prices calculated. Initially increased price, then said they miscalculated and increased again retroactively, had PCP reduce medications, temporarily reduced back to original level, then randomly retroactively increased to higher level and said cost now includes PRN medications taken at most once a year. Many services added onto service plan are not done but we are being charged. Fee is supposed to include making bed which they never do, housekeeping which is suboptimal and sometimes not at all, food is very institutionalized. When you ask a question about pricing they fail to provide clear answers and threaten to kick out if you don't like it. Many elderly especially with memory issues would rather stay at familiar location even if suboptimal; therefore, recommend look very hard at all options before moving in loved one." - Sid… Read more

"My mother was a vulnerable resident with documented moderate vascular dementia and cognitive communication deficits. During her final weeks, serious safeguarding concerns arose, yet I repeatedly had to push for action and accountability. I gave Fellowship Square a written privacy directive prohibiting disclosure of her photograph, identifying details or location. Despite this, they published her photo, name and location in their own bulletin. After her death, I sent the Executive Director a detailed formal complaint asking what safeguarding reports, investigations and regulatory notifications had been made, and what action the facility had taken. Fellowship Square did not respond. At all. Families should be able to expect safeguarding, privacy, communication and accountability from a facility caring for vulnerable older people. "The Summit is a clean, uplifting and beautifully designed facility with a caring and attentive staff. My mother lived there for nearly 7 months before her passing. I am grateful that she lived her last months in a place that I would choose for myself or any other member of my family. We had confidence that my mom was receiving the appropriate attention and care she needed which took pressure off of me to be there constantly. All of their care is customized for your individual needs. I found the cost to be very reasonable especially after visiting many facilities that were not near the quality of the Summit. The allowed him to sit in his feces for hours to the point it was dried on his legs.
