They let her to lay in bed all day. She left this place in worse condition than when she arrived. Her room smelled of soiled items. Food is also an issue. Often, we would arrive to see our wheelchair-bound mother and she'd be lying flat in bed, and her uneaten lunch and dinner were just laying on tables, out of her reach, in her room. "Not a good place for your loved one! Carpets in halls were coming apart. Tripping hazard! Duct tape was used to "repair" for years. New flooring was finally put in after years of expressing our concern. Staff continued to not know my loved one's needs for 5 years. She had no use of one arm, so needed help getting dressed, transferring, cutting up food. Call lights ignored for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The simple joy of one cup of coffee in the morning was ignored. Staff would tell her they were out of coffee. Which was not true. They just didn't want to make the trip down the hall to get it. Meds were not administered correctly. Sometimes even missing doses. Narcotics left in room for her to take on her own. Carpet in room was disgustingly filthy. We requested for it to be cleaned. Ignored. Housekeeping would use broom to sweep carpet.
