"The care at Harbourwood Care is ATROCIOUS! The duty of fulfilling their responsibilities for 24 hour supervised medical care, administering medications, wound care, managing chronic conditions and ensuring a safe, comfortable living environment…they failed! The duty to provide hygiene care, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and laundry…they failed! My mother-in-law, Evelyn, passed away on 6/27/25 at Harbourwood Care Facility. She had balance issues which required assistance to stand. She constantly had UTI’s from little to no hygiene assistance. She was often left unchanged from the night before till the afternoon. Doctor appointments were missed due to negligence arranging transportation. The food service department follows NO dietary protocols or considerations for medically necessary conditions. The doctor assigned was USELESS. When my wife called him for help, he was rude, uncaring, denied what we know to be facts, and refused to provide any additional orders or even suggestions." - John… Read more

"My wife came here for a 5 day respite care and I was disappointed with the staff overall but there were several who did not help when I asked them to be sure she got a shower on Thursday...no one takes responsibility as they just say that's the nurses aid job. No accountability and no on site supervision. Patients are left without care. My wife was found "nonresponsive" ac cording to a nurse who called me. My wife is under Hospice care and I had to wait 2 hrs for the hospice nurse to go there and check her out. She did get her supper or her evening meds. The hospice nurse took over and got her meds and something to eat and then her bedtime meds. For stroke patients getting meds and meals on a regimen is a critical part of her care.
