"Mom was at Residence of Charles Meadow. They wanted to move her to memory care or she would have to leave. Also mismanagement of medication. Mom was on the SAMM plan and there were times when her pills just went ‘missing’ never to be found. Another times medications were given at wrong times. "My mom lived here and said it felt like home. She loved the nurses who provided excellent care, but unfortunately the administration’s priorities are more focused on the bottom line than the welfare of their residents. My mom’s unit was infested with cockroaches after EV renovated their basement to create a memory care assisted living. I tried working with the administration to solve the problem but their efforts were completely ineffective. I finally moved my mom to another assisted living. "My mother-in-law passed in late November. As we were cleaning her room, we found visible mold on furniture, on items in her closet, and on items in dresser drawers. An independent company determined high levels of mold, and the Wayland Board of Health deemed her room "unfit for human habitation." All reports are available at the Wayland Board of Health office.
