"I toured the place for my brother, who is 58. It seemed to me to be a place to warehouse older people. The one apartment that was vacant was so tiny, I couldn’t imagine anyone trying to live there." - Catherine

"Recently went on a tour here. The staff was helpful and the facility seemed nice. I am not sure about whether this would be a good fit for family cos it's hard to tell from a short visit. I wished they did a trial stay program" - hanz

"Not the best. Always a high turnover in staff. My Mom and other patients wait forever to order their food and then even longer to get it and get the correct order. The staff pretends to be friendly but beneath that phony exterior they just want to get the heck out of there as soon as possible. It's just a job to them. I'm told they blame "corporate" for everything. What does "corporate" know about Illinois when they're located in Colorado. If you want your parent's freedom taken away and be told what to do like little children than this is for them." - R…

"Hello, my mom was in Peace Village Independent living from January 2019 - September 2024 when she passed away. She loved it and was taken care of by a great staff. The biweekly cleaning staff, Linda and Susie, did a great job but also went above and beyond for my mom. Truly special people that worked at Peace Village for so many years. Also Dawn in the cafeteria would check on my mom if she didn't see or hear from her. Jake was the renovations person at the time and put in cabinet lighting and a backsplash that my mom loved to show off. So many kind people working at Peace Village. The 3 maintenance staff were great too! Also, they always had festivities for the staff. My mom loved the Afternoon Teas. The food, decor was amazing! The weekly happy hours, special lunch popups, etc. the Christmas decorations are amazing. My mom loved sitting by the quiet pond in the rocker with a cup of tea from Branches. We have so many great memories there." - Kathleen…
