"The facility is beautiful, and my mother has loved all of the activities, but they recently got a new manager who the residents dislike. She is very rude to the residents and very condescending. They have also raised rent substantially every year so be prepared to pay a lot more than what you're paying your first year." - Jennifer…

From $4,995/mo

12300 Morris Road, Alpharetta, GA, 30005
Assisted Living, Memory Care, Independent Living

"We moved to Village Park Alpharetta for an independent living in Sandy Springs. I am a caregiver for an elderly lady and needed help so I could go home at night. Village Park is wonderful! They worked with my schedule and went out of their way to do things the way we were used to so that the move would be easier. The care staff all the way to the administration were absolutely far beyond what I expected. If you are looking for a good place, just go meet the residents. The proof is in the pudding. I just wish we had moved in sooner." - Kelly…

Magnolia Place of Roswell

From $4,395/mo

655 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA, 30076
Assisted Living, Memory Care

"DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE! The staff at Magnolia are incredible at touring and the sales pitch. But let me tell you, they will not even do the bare minimum that is part of the rental contract because they are always “under-staffed”. The weekly cleanings, laundry and sheet changes do not happen regularly if at all! If and when they do clean, it’s mediocre at best. The food is inedible. Several occasions they lost our family members medications and spent days trying to locate them while she was left without her diabetic monitors among other crucial medications. And you will be charged a ridiculous amount for a “care plan” and within weeks to months they will do another assessment without any communication and double the monthly care plan, this is how they make their money. Charging lower rent and ridiculous amounts for “care plans” that are bogus and unwarranted. AND, they won’t even do the additional items they claim they need assistance with like showering." - Molly…

Regal Pointe East Cobb

From $4,195/mo

886 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA, 30068
Assisted Living, Memory Care

"My mom stayed here for a year and a half and it was nothing but problems. Cold food, overnight pendant response times can be 2-3 hours, not getting everyone out of their rooms during a fire drill, no sanitizer in the entire facility for four days, elevator(s) broken for four months straight, the bus and car didn't work for weeks at a time, lost laundry, etc. The dining room is a complete disaster. They run out of entrees within 5 minutes of the dining room opening, and the food is way too salty. The residents have spoken up about this numerous times. However, nothing changes. They served hamburgers and didn't have ketchup on more than one occassion. Hamburgers served on bread, not buns. And, there's a Kroger/Publix within walking distance. A grilled chease sandwich served without the cheese. They run out of coffee cups, lids, creamer, iced tea, bread, desserts, you name it. And, it's constant. The response is always the same- "it didn't come on the truck this week."" - dan…

Oaks at Alpharetta

From $2,750/mo

253 North Main Street, Alpharetta, GA, 30009
Assisted Living, Memory Care

"My poor mother has been here for a month. We are already finding her a new place. They have a system where you push the button on a device around your neck when you need help. Every single time I'm visiting, I watch her push the button, then wait, usually over 30 minutes, and no one comes. Most days I'll have to go looking for someone, and most days, like today, I find all staff members sitting in the dining room on their phones. Then when I walk up to them and say "Can someone come help my mom?" they look at me like I'm a pest, then consult each other and look at their call systems, and say things to each other like I'm not even there, pretending they didn't get the call. OR if you're lucky, someone will actually come to her room, shut off the device, then turn around and leave again, saying "I'll be back". It is a pretty place, the rooms are big, the other residents are very nice, the food is good, but we are leaving solely because of the staff." - Julia…

Oaks at Tucker

From $2,550/mo

1300 Montreal Road, Tucker, GA, 30084
Assisted Living, Memory Care

"The Oaks at Tucker looks good, but it is consistently short on staff, and they do not follow their own safety protocols. Twice in the 1 1/2year my month lived there she went an entire month without receiving her medication and both times ended up having to go to the emergency room. They never seemed to have an activity director, so there were few if any activities. In the time my mother lived there my sister had to help my mother shower, talk to staff about basic cleaning like emptying the trash, and was there often to make sure my mother got what she needed. The facility looks good from the outside the rooms are nice size, they just don't seem to have the ability to hire and retain enough staff. Seniors really benefit from continuity and this place does not offer that." - Kai…
