My mom is doing better there than she was the last year or two in her home. For what you pay, you really are getting a LOT. I'm so grateful that the cost is low enough that mom can stay there for a long time. The wait for food in assisted living tends to be lengthy and the quality of food is maybe 8.5/10, but my household would probably rate a 6, so I fault them too much for that. Anywhere you choose, you do need to advocate for your loved one, but this is not a place you need to "battle."
