What families are saying
We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a CareScout representative for details.
Atria Kennebunk receives predominantly positive reviews for its attractive, clean, well-maintained environment and welcoming atmosphere. Families frequently praise the compassionate, friendly, and attentive staff, who are described as going above and beyond to support residents and families. Reviewers appreciate the community’s strong sense of home, social engagement, and family-like relationships. Residents benefit from numerous activities, including music, exercise, games, crafts, outings, holiday celebrations, live entertainment, and special events. The facility offers transportation, housekeeping, maintenance, salon services, libraries, gardens, and accessible apartments with practical layouts. Dining is another major strength, with fresh food, varied menus, multiple choices, and accommodations for individual preferences. Many residents appear happy, more socially engaged, and comfortable, while families report reassurance that their loved ones are safe and cared for. Tours are generally described as informative, professional, and pleasant, although some visitors found the setting more hotel-like, institutional, or less cozy than expected. Several reviewers consider Atria a good value and highly recommend it, while others believe it is expensive or overpriced, particularly when additional care charges are included. Concerns are also raised about inconsistent communication, unclear personal-care assessments, billing practices, and limited corporate responsiveness. A few families reported serious issues involving memory-care safety, residents exiting unnoticed, medication-transfer failures, inadequate leadership, and the facility’s inability to manage complex dementia or higher medical needs. Some residents were reportedly transferred elsewhere despite substantial fees, with delayed or incomplete refunds. Overall, Atria Kennebunk is widely viewed as an excellent assisted-living community for residents needing moderate support, but prospective families should carefully confirm memory-care capabilities, staffing, pricing, discharge policies, medication procedures, and communication expectations.

All the staff are super, they care for all the patients. They are hard workers and long hours. My mom is in their care and she has bad and good days and they see that she gets the care she needs when needed. The staff are friendly. Let you know when there's a problem. They are all good people.
