Senior Lifestyle also requests feedback from residents and families using this voice-to-voice technology, garnering more robust response rate than paper or online surveys tend to prompt. From this solicitation of feedback to its award-winning health and wellness programming, Senior Lifestyle is always looking for ways to improve residents' daily experiences. September 2026

My mother moved into the community about three months ago, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how things have gone. From the beautiful surroundings to the overall atmosphere, everything has been wonderful. The food has been amazing. They have daily specials, fresh soups, and different catches every day, which my mother really enjoys. She also loves happy hour, and I especially enjoy being able to join her for it. The pool has quickly become her favorite part of the community, and she absolutely loves the water Tai Chi. It’s been great seeing her stay active, meet people, and truly enjoy this new chapter. Nothing is perfect, but in my opinion, this is one of the best options you’ll find in the area. Most importantly, it gives my mother the independence she wants while also providing the security, activities, and sense of community that we were looking for. As her son, having peace of mind knowing she’s happy, safe, and surrounded by people is priceless.

Aspire and its management company, Vitality Living, are all about the almighty dollar and not your senior loved one. My mother's rent increased by $225 after just 8 months! That's due to Vitality Living taking over management this past January. My mother paid a large "community fee" of $3,500 when she moved in. The term "community" suggests it's used toward amenities for the residents. Aspire fell short of my expectations in that regard. I moved my mother into another independent living facility after 16 months at Aspire. I requested a partial refund of the community fee but was denied by Vitality Living. I even emailed the CEO but never received any acknowledgement of my email. In my email to him I addressed issues that I was concerned about at Aspire and how I felt my mother was underserved. This is corporate greed.

I lived there for one year and 3 months too long. At first glance it does seem livable but after one month you know many things are wrong and this is not the place you want to live in for the rest of your life. Management is poor, activities are ho-hum, if you don't have a car, you will feel like you are in jail. You never ever know what to expect with the food. It is nice having a washing machine and dryer in your apartment which is not luxury by any standards. The only great thing about this place are your fellow inmates. This complex is surrounded by a big apartment complex built in the 1960s. That makes it rather noisy BUT it is located in what I think is the best area of Richmond.
