"The apartments are nice, not updated but clean and paint is touched up. The food is excellent and activities and transportation offered. I wish I could say the front office staff were warm and welcoming because they give off the vibe of indifference and clearly look at you and immediately look away as if residents or visitors are bothering them each and every time. "My in-laws (both 95) have been in assisted living at Portside for a little over three years. My sister, who fell and broke her hip a year ago now lives in Portside independent living. I can honestly say the care and attention that my family members have received while there has been amazing. Of course, my in-laws require much more attention than my sister, but regardless of how large or small the need is, someone is always there to give a helping hand. The nursing staff on the assisted living side are all super stars. They love our family members as much as we do, and they have unlimited amounts of patience and understanding.
