"Mom lived in assisted living at Riviera for a year, we thought at the time things were ok, always framed like mom was doing well and engaged, until we moved her to find out more. Even being in and out it wasn’t enough to protect mom. Come to find out that mom told staff how frighten she was with nursing care, today I come to find out these concerns went unnoticed/ignored or un-responded to by the chain of command. Staff took mom to color daily at a table that was Pretty much the extent of the services that this facility offered my 95-year-old Mom. Always making us feel like she was doing well and ok. As if this isn’t enough, we left on terrible Circumstances after a hurricane impacted our area in the Holly Hill Facility. Riviera Assisted Living evacuated with no plan, how can you not have a plan as an ALF? Some staff insiders admitted there was no plan and if it were not for the directors previous employment in Winter Park, they would have had nowhere to evacuate.
