"Initially, I was very grateful to have found Pacifica Senior Living Sunrise, and their amazing team. Beautifully decorated, and well-kept property and community. The community and residents are very warm and inviting. Then, I discovered mold in my mom’s apartment during the first week of October and promptly informed the maintenance team. Unfortunately, the actions taken did not remove the mold and my mother continues to experience symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, runny nose, aches, and pains for months, which the Dr confirmed are directly related to mold exposure. I escalated the matter to Pacifica’s Executive Director, and she coordinated with maintenance to treat the mold, requiring my mother to vacate the apartment temporarily. While the maintenance team applied mold treatment and repainted the ceiling, my mother continued to find mold on personal belongings including shoes, purses, and towels. "From the minute you walk in and meet the sales personnel and take the tour, you know this is going to be your new home. Everyone on staff has a smile and is very professional. The dining room has a menu in the evening. If you are not happy with the evening choices, you always have an alternate menu to choose from. The apartments are beautiful and housekeeping comes once a week to clean your apartment. There is entertainment and a special happy hour every Friday with music and dancing. "I have been living here for over 3 years. The quality of service has steadily deteriorated in that time. I have had to wait between appetizer and main course over an hour only to have the wrong order served to me and I have to wait (hungry) and hope it's correct the second time, which it is not always correct even the second time. The Executive Director ignores me as if I were invisible. I have to submit a work order to get the air conditioner filter changed, or they may never change it. Half the time the work order gets lost and I have to wait another week. That should be AUTOMATIC MAINTENANCE. Shouldn't have to prepare a work order. Happy hour for early birds, and certain people have needs to eat early... the fact is, a 3:30 pm Happy Hour is offered, and it is rare to be able to get a drink at that time.
