The business office director has accurately processed my invoices and promptly helped me with questions when I needed it. The front desk is responsive to conveying needs as they arise with residents in emergencies and ongoing daily transactions. This community is managed professionally. Maintenance requests are addressed and prioritized. My room is properly cleaned by housekeeping staff weekly. Activities are fun and engaging. This place is completely unprepared to handle actual dementia patients, especially if they're anything other than docile. From day one, they showed their true colors when they made us take my father home for a week to "drug him" when he naturally wanted to leave - and they had the audacity to charge us for that week we weren't even there. Unlike other reputable facilities that ask families to stay away during adjustment periods, they required family to be present 8 hours daily for two weeks. They never assigned staff to help dad adjust or get to know him. The situation became even worse when they couldn't handle my father's sundowning. They increased our monthly rate by 50% and required us to hire a private 1:1 sitter at $35/hour, bringing our total cost to over $1,000 PER DAY. The past three years there was a high turn-over rate of employees in the Activity Section. I am hoping this "curse" of rapid turnover stopped. "Ivy Park is a beautiful community. It was an impressive tour and I really liked Linda the executive director. You can tell she is passionate about her community. Unfortunately, this community is out of our price range. It would be helpful if communities could be more transparent about pricing before coming in for a tour. As of November 2025, the fee for the most basic 306 sq ft studio was $5195/month, community fee is $7000, med fees vary but we were quoted $690-$920 (it's $23 per point), they didn't give me a quote for care fees, and the estimated price increase per year I believe was 7%-10%.
