Oak Park Place Baraboo Autumn Lane

From $5,678/mo

800 Waldo Street, Baraboo, WI, 53913
Assisted Living, Memory Care

"Autumn Lane is advertised as being a "step above" specialty memory care CBRF in what is an above average, clean, well decorated senior independent/assisted living facility. In reality, behind the filthy, sign plastered, locked door, Autumn lane smells bad, has stained carpeting, broken window blinds, nasty furnishings and collections of stuff in many main areas, dead bugs in the ceiling light fixtures, decent nursing/personal care, a very generic/impersonal activity program (no outings, library, no happy hour, no baking, no real exercises, no chapel, no gardening/no outdoor activities at all, no painting/drawing, just watching TV, music, movies and videos) and notably bad food (very small portions, served at room temperature, very dry meat, plain rice/potatoes/pasta, and lots of processed vegetables. The direct care staff are generally pleasant but expected to do way too much with so many physically fragile/ill patients with advanced dementia. My friend is miserable here. She has a nice room, but it came with stained carpeting, windows that won't open properly, walls that need painting, a shower that leaks, and inadequate housekeeping services." - Emmalee…
