What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a CareScout representative for details.

Emilia Assisted Living Home is praised for its reasonable pricing and personalized care. The main contact person is described as adaptable, communicative, and helpful with paperwork. The facility accommodates special meal preparations, which was important for one reviewer whose grandfather required Indian meals. The home has a small number of residents, creating a cozy, home-like atmosphere rather than a corporate or hospital feel. The open floor plan minimizes the risk of neglect. However, one reviewer found the rooms small and noted that their mother would have had to share a bathroom, which was not ideal. The grounds are described as lovely, but the overall feel did not match another facility they visited. The cost was a concern for another reviewer, who found the price for a shared room and additional aide services to be high, totaling around $15,000 per month. Despite this, the staff-to-resident ratio is highlighted as a positive aspect, ensuring attentive care. Another reviewer appreciates the personal care their father receives, noting that he enjoys live entertainment and meals. The home allows residents to have personal items in their rooms, contributing to a sense of comfort. The facility is recommended for its excellent care. Lastly, a reviewer mentions the cost savings compared to a previous arrangement, emphasizing that the level of care remains high. The home is described as a welcoming environment, and the staff is commended for their quality service. Overall, Emilia Assisted Living Home is recommended for its personalized care and home-like setting.

December 2021

My 94-year-old mother has been living at Emilia's Assisted Living for over 19 months. This is a family-owned business licensed by the state of Virginia. They provide full-service care with a well-trained staff and management. The environment is clean, warm and friendly. The facility itself is a fairly good-sized home nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Springfield, Virginia. They provide nicely prepared meals, laundry services, medicine distribution and track medical needs alongside an INOVA medical team that does house-calls. My family did our due diligence before settling with Emilia's. We'd visited similar senior service facilities that were nothing more than conglomerates with a price tag to go with them, but whose services, food and location were not as good in comparison. We are glad we chose Emilia's. My mother, who has a very sharp mind is pleased with the facility, services and staff. This choice for us was of the utmost importance and nineteen months later, we know we made the right choice.
