The Village at Bellevue

8118 B-Sawyer Brown Road, Nashville, TN, 37221
Assisted Living, Memory Care

"We looked at this home for my husband’s aunt, Connie was fabulous, very knowledgeable and welcoming, we heard she’s no longer there which is sad for those who remain. During the tour, we couldn’t help notice how unprofessional much of the staff was, they appeared argumentative & observed many sitting around and not interacting with other residents, also short staffed for the size of the building. The interior was tired, desperately in need of refresh. We also heard many complaints about food. The ED seemed flustered and the sales person was not of the professional caliber we’re used to. Activities appeared nonexistent, especially in the memory care. In the end we decided to go elsewhere. A shame as the location has much potential, they just don’t have the team it make it happen. The lack of professionalism was disturbing except for Connie, but one person cannot fix all the issues we observed." - Isabella…

"They are not up to par like they once were. They Try to force residents to use a specific pharmacy out of town that is slow to deliver meds. Same owner? Understaffed so they cannot attend to residents whose care needs to increase after hospital stay. Their food service started out as Top notch with choices and in room service if preferred to basic under flavored food no choices extra cost for in room service. it can take up to 45 min for them To attend to the emergency call bell ias it I s used to call for any assistance so staff dont feel the need to rush as it may be they just need a favor. The hall carpets are terribly stained. Nurses seldom check on residents who are not sick and only maybe one quick visit a day when they are sick but not more unless you press them too. Before staff could take a few minutes to visit with through out the day, now with staff shortages they are left alone unless they are up to activities. Many staff are very sweet. But Huge staff tunover ." - D…

"The medical team (2 NPs 1 doctor) is slow to act on diagnosing issues. 5 days after my mother started suddenly having delirium they did their 1st test. The NP never returned our call asking to speak with her. In addition, certain staff members did not follow orders for care. We met with the Director of Nurses. Nothing changed despite her promises. Even when a family member enacted her role as medical POA, they did not communicate. The medical team did whatever they wanted. No one sent out an order for her oxygen when she was discharged. The next day we called and sent emails to get the order sent to an oxygen company. It was sent out around 4 pm on a Friday. We are now going on day 3 without it. Their records showed outdated orders several times when they looked up information. My mother could have died due to lengthy delays in treatment. They have a good PT/OT department, and some of the individual caregivers care but if you want quality medical care, you should look elsewhere." - Rachel…
