"I’m deeply disappointed with the way my relative has been treated in this facility, particularly by the executive director & the upper-level administrative staff. There has been ongoing neglect and a noticeable lack of compassion or accountability from those in charge. When concerns are brought up, they’re often brushed off or inadequately addressed, which is incredibly frustrating and disheartening for families who are just trying to advocate for their loved ones. That said, I do want to acknowledge that the floor staff, nurses, aides, and other day-to-day caregivers, have generally been kind and attentive. It's clear that they care and are doing their best with limited support and leadership. Unfortunately, their efforts are overshadowed by poor management and a culture at the top that seems to lack genuine concern for residents' well-being. "Some personnel are kind and skilled but there is a lot of turn over and only a skeleton staff at night. Food is problematic- dishes are given gourmet names but not prepared well. Food is undercooked or overcooked and often unhealthy for elderly people with conditions like heart disease, diabetes or cancer. There is a sole healthy option of chicken but that’s it. Many meal items are from a can, processed and unhealthy. They push ice cream and cake. They sometimes ration popular dishes or run out. As a result meals are bread and butter back in the room. Another issue is the facility itself. It’s beautifully decorated but not with seniors in mind. Abstract repetitive art-confuses residents.Seats are too low or deep and there isn’t a space other than the cold, crowded lobby for monthly music nights. Fire dept calls & water shut offs.
