"I had my mom on a waiting list for a few months for a room at the Ivy in the dementia wing. Then, 3 days before the move-in, they did the nurse's assessment. They called my father and I an hour later to tell us they can't take her in. She is too far along with the disease. This is after they had taken the deposit, we had a move in date, and I had my brothers flying in from across the country to help with the move. No heads up from them on the policy. The sales person also knew of her condition during our 2 visits there. Unbelievable. Avoid this place like the plague. The medical care staff is cold, aggressive, unkind, void of compassion and unprofessional as is the executive director. They will tell you everything you need to hear to get you to sign, but nothing will be as promised. Medical staff will humiliate and neglect your loved one, they are never on time nor visible and will not notify family of any issues, ever, and many won’t respond when you “push the help button”.
