What families are saying
We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a CareScout representative for details.
The reviews for Whitestone Retirement Community present a mixed picture. Many residents and their families express high satisfaction, praising the community for its welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, and well-maintained facilities. Residents appreciate the variety of activities, from exercise classes to social events, and the sense of community and friendship they experience. The dining options and amenities, such as the library and fitness center, receive positive mentions. Several reviews highlight the compassionate care provided by the staff, particularly in the rehabilitation and wellness centers, and the peace of mind families feel knowing their loved ones are well cared for. However, there are significant concerns raised in some reviews. One reviewer describes a negative experience with their mother's care, citing issues with meal delivery, medication errors, and unresponsive maintenance. Another review criticizes the lack of communication and poor care during a family member's stay, including unreturned phone calls and inadequate attention to basic needs. These negative experiences contrast sharply with the overwhelmingly positive feedback from other reviewers. Overall, while many residents and families are pleased with their experience at Whitestone, there are notable instances of dissatisfaction, particularly regarding communication and specific care issues.

First, let me say this is not misdirected anger coming from a grieving daughter. My mother had a fall and was sent there in July 2024 to the rehabilitation wellness department. Besides, never being able to get anyone on the phone. She would call me crying for basic needs like water, as I assessed her needs, I realize she needed to be out of rehab and put into their skilled nursing where I could not get a nurse or person on the phone as well. I would like to shout out. To Lenny not sure if he was a nurse a CNA, but he treated her like a human. He was the only one . The portal at incorrect information and as a result, I could not say goodbye to my mother before she passed. I would strongly advise no one to leave their loved ones under their care.
