Meadow Lakes is a senior community praised for its beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and wide range of activities. Residents appreciate the spacious apartments, ample storage, and scenic views. The community offers various physical activities, including aerobics, chair yoga, and swimming in both indoor and outdoor pools. Intellectual activities such as lectures, book clubs, and games like bocce and bingo are also available. The location is convenient for travel to nearby cities and cultural venues. However, some residents have noted issues with the food quality, citing inconsistency and a shift to pre-prepared meals. Another concern is the antiquated heating and cooling system, which limits temperature control in apartments. Despite these issues, many residents find the community welcoming and enjoy the freedom from home maintenance responsibilities. The dining options are generally well-received, with some residents enjoying meals in the formal dining room or picking up lighter options from the cafe. The community also allows pets and features a library, gym, and art studio. Overall, Meadow Lakes is described as a lovely and friendly community with excellent care and a variety of amenities, though some improvements in food quality and climate control are desired.

April 2024

As we aged we moved to Meadow Lakes from Ohio to be closer to our daughters. While the grounds are beautiful, it is the people who make it special. There is an open friendliness here. Each time we pass others in the halls or across bridges connecting buildings, we exchange greetings. The staff is also welcoming, and they never fail to meet our needs in a timely manner. It is easy getting to know new people through the myriad of activities Meadow Lakes offers. When we arrived we were invited several times for dinner, and we were urged to join any of the activities that appealed to us. We have listened to lectures on the evolution of science, another about infinity, and still others which involved discussions about books and film. We make it a point to stay physically fit, so we are grateful that we can use the exercise room at all hours. The indoor and outdoor pools contribute to keeping us active as well as the new pickle ball court nearby.

My mother has lived at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown New Jersey for 3 1/2 years. (2020). She is thriving at 90 and very social in the independent living. She attends the events that are planned, plays Bocce, croquet, swims, joins the adult exercises and has dinner companions every night. The facility is beautiful inside and the outdoor grounds are lovely, Our family highly recommends Meadow Lakes for your loved one. And another great feature, as a residence needs change all the different levels are right there on site and the resident is able to have their final chapter living in the same beautiful facility til the Lord, calls them home. One last perk, the entire site is ground level so you never have to worry in an emergency that the resident is able to get out quickly and safely with the help of the staff…. we considered this feature a very big plus.

Our history, our mission, our community spirit. Deeds define our exceptional senior living in Monroe Township, NJ—more than words ever could. The best way to understand our community’s mission? Think back, when Hurricane Irene struck New Jersey. The niece of a Monroe Village prospect called her Senior Living Sales Counselor. Her aunt was stranded without power. Could we help? Our Counselor went to her home, helped her pack and brought her back to our community. He settled her in and introduced her to friends who helped her feel comfortable. After the storm ended and power returned to the area, our Counselor drove the aunt home, helped her unpack, and even made sure her medication dispenser was working properly. She’s a Monroe Village resident today. Is that any surprise? She had a first-hand preview of the way our staff and our community see their calling. It began in 1988, when a group of physicians built Monroe Village to provide both stylish living and health care security on one campus. Since then, our community has grown and flourished. You’ll take comfort in our financial strength and stability, backed by the resources of Springpoint Senior Living, New Jersey’s leading not-for-profit provider of continuing care retirement communities. The resources of a large organization stand behind Monroe Village. You’ll be reassured by Springpoint’s strong financial rating and emphasis on quality. Springpoint offers oversight and resident satisfaction levels that a stand-alone community just can’t match. Like all Springpoint communities, we’re CARF-CCAC accredited: we must meet and exceed rigorous standards, year after year. Independent experts analyze every facet of operations, from financial operations to food service to health care—more than 1,000 different criteria. Only 15% of all CCRCs in America achieve this distinction. Above all, Springpoint has a mission that we at Monroe Village follow every single day: To make a difference in the lives of the residents, families and communities we serve. Are we successful? Ask our residents. Visit our senior living community, in the heart of Monroe, NJ.…
