The Oaks of Alamance has received mixed reviews. Many reviewers express dissatisfaction with the facility's cleanliness, citing dirty rooms, bathrooms, and carpets, as well as outdated furniture. Some mention staff being inattentive, often seen on their phones, and a lack of administrative oversight. Concerns about medication errors, bedbugs, and inadequate care leading to hospitalizations are also highlighted. Several reviewers note poor communication and responsiveness from management, with some describing the staff as lazy or unprofessional. However, there are positive remarks about the facility's spaciousness, amenities, and some friendly staff members. Activities like card games and field trips are appreciated, and some residents feel at home. The dining area is described as nice, though food quality and temperature receive mixed feedback. The facility's location and all-inclusive rate are seen as advantages. Despite some positive experiences, the high staff turnover and lack of licensed nurses are concerning for many. Overall, while some recommend the community, others strongly advise against it due to the perceived lack of quality care and cleanliness.
