Fadi Tamer and his competent staff at Doctor’s First Choice provided critical, compassionate assisted living for my father for over two years before he passed. Prior to that, he was in two other homes and we were unsatisfied with the quality of care and professionalism, so we looked for another place to call home. Needless to say, it was an exhausting and at times distressing process. Luckily, a family friend recommended Doctor’s First Choice. Right from the start, we were impressed with the look and feel of the place, it felt like home, along with Fadi and his team’s compassion and commitment to helping people under their care. His deep experience assisting older patients with various types of health issues gave our family confidence and peace of mind that my dad would receive the important, 24-hour attention needed during his last days. The food was home-cooked and my dad had to have his meals prepared a particular way because he had difficulty swallowing. They were able to accommodate his needs and keep him eating and drinking, which was important to his health. Holidays and birthdays were celebrated in a social atmosphere, with patients and staff, as if they were a family. Different social functions took place, like bringing in musicians and puppies to entertain everyone and interaction with others was easy. Visitation was convenient and we even got to know a few of his other housemates. You simply cannot put a price on what Fadi and his team are doing because it comes from the heart and is firmly grounded in his Christian faith. His personal commitment of time and emotional investment to each person under his care is simply a gift of himself…and to our family. Mike K. & family
